Lowestoft is the easternmost railway station in Britain; it is located within the town centre; just across the street is the pedestrianised shopping district. The beach is just a few minutes walk from the station. Lowestoft is served by trains on the East Suffolk Lines from Ipswich and the Wherry Lines to Norwich. The station is staffed seven days a week.

  • Bus Connections – 61/99/146 to Pakefield and Kessingland, X2/X22/103 to Carlton Colville, 1/1A/X1/61 to Hopton and Gorleston (connections to Great Yarmouth)
  • Station-to-Station Walks – The Easterling to Oulton Broad South station

Lowestoft station houses a public exhibition space in the old parcels office which can be hired for events and meetings. A visitor information point is located next door. Both are run by Station Regeneration East, a community interest company.
