More Trains Arriving On Time

For the first half of 2006, punctuality numbers improved on most routes operated by ‘one’ Railway.

‘one’ rural routes, which include the East Suffolk Line, saw on time figures rise from 87.0% last year to 89.3% for the same period this year. Mainline services improved to 91.2%, up from 85.2%. Norwich to London trains arrived on schedule 87.2% of the time, compared to 79.9% last year.

West Anglia and Stansted Express, part of the Greater Anglia franchise operated by ‘one’ had slight drops in punctuality numbers. Over the entire franchise area, numbers rose from 88.4% to 89.6%.

Note: on time is defined as within 5 minutes of the scheduled timetable, or 10 minutes for Intercity services.

INDUSTRIAL ACTION Wed 8/5 though Sat 11/5. Most services will run but there will be some cancellations.
