We hold FREE station-to-station Guided Walks throughout the year. Your dog is welcome too and they travel free on the train. There’s no need to book. Just show up.

Wickham Market station and Pettistree Circular
5.5 miles – about 3 hours
Led by Maureen and David with Stefania and Cheryl as part of your crew on the day
A walk through lovely countryside, taking in Pettistree and the old town of Wickham Market, along quiet footpaths and country lanes.
Toilets: each train has two toilets; there are toilets inside the café at Wickham Market station and at Wickham Market village about halfway into the walk.
Snacks/Lunch: bring a snack for short stops along the way. Optional stop for a drink at the end at The Duck pub across from Wickham Market rail station or at Station House café.
Trains: 8.28 from Felixstowe, 9:06 from Lowestoft, 9:16 From Ipswich. Trains home run hourly at :05 to Ipswich and :42 to Lowestoft.
Advice if you plan to take part in our Guided Walks
- Wear stout, comfortable footwear and have waterproofs if wet.
- Bring refreshments (especially drink), a snack, or lunch for brief stops along the way.
- Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead.
- Check train times before setting on the National Rail Enquiries website or mobile app, or call 03457 48 49 50.
- Be tick aware! Ticks can be encountered all year. Government advice on ticks is available here.
- No insurance cover is provided – all come at own risk.
