Passenger Numbers to be Counted

The East Suffolk Line Community Rail Partnership has commissioned a full survey of passenger numbers. A company that specialises in rail passenger counts will carry out a survey of all people using the route over the course of a typical day.

Passenger numbers on the East Suffolk Line have risen 15% in the last year, and because the priority for Conductors is issuing and checking tickets there is only complete data for a few trains and stations. The survey results will be used to determine the need for more frequent services.
