East Suffolk Line Cafe Ranked Second in Britain

Woodbridge Railway StationThe Whistlestop Cafe at Woodbridge Rail station has made the Top Ten List of railway cafes by a Guardian Newspaper columnist. Travel writer Dixe Wills named the cafe second best in the country, coming in just after a restaurant at the rail station on the Kyle of Lochalsh. Wills said the food at the Whistlestop Cafe was so good it even attracted customers who were not rail passengers.

Two other station cafes in East Anglia made the shortlist; the Station Buffet at Manningtree came in at number five, and the Brief Encounter Cafe at Wymondham Station was ranked sixth.

INDUSTRIAL ACTION is taking taking place in early May. Mon 6/5, and Wed 7/5 though Sat 11/5 most services will run but there will be some cancellations. On Tuesday 7/5 there will be a full strike; NO services on the East Suffolk Lines or the other local/regional routes will operate that day. Mainline services to/from London will be reduced.
