Community Rail Officer

The East Suffolk Lines Community Rail Partnership is currently looking for a new, part-time, officer to support our work on the Ipswich to Felixstowe and Ipswich to Lowestoft lines.

 

Working closely with the train operator, Abellio Greater Anglia, and the local councils, the successful applicant will play a key role in promoting rail services and increasing community involvement in the railway.

 

This is a wide ranging role which will include organising promotional events, supporting volunteers, attracting funding for projects and some administration work. Excellent communication and organisational skills are therefore essential, along with a ‘can do’ attitude. A basic understanding of the rail industry would also be helpful but is not essential.

 

The role will require 22.5 hours per week, which will include occasional evening and weekend work where necessary. The base location will be flexible and the salary will be up to £14,411 per annum.
