Further Temporary Changes to the Timetable

Greater Anglia is making additional temporary revisions to the timetable starting Sunday 14 February on some routes. The changes are in response to feedback from people making essential journeys and a reduction in the number of passengers travelling due to the current lockdown. They have been made in consultation with Government who are currently funding the railway.

Passengers are advised to check before they travel for details of the changes which are available on the the Greater Anglia mobile app and the website.

About 73 percent of the normal number of trains will be operating compared to before the pandemic.

Jamie Burles, Greater Anglia managing director said: “Current Government advice is to stay at home and only to travel for legally permissible reasons such as for work or medical appointments.

“We will continue to monitor passenger numbers and customer feedback and adjust the timetable as necessary.

“We are working hard to keep rail passengers safe, with enhanced cleaning and sanitisation of trains and stations and measures to make social distancing easier. Travellers are reminded that it’s mandatory to wear a face covering on our trains and stations.”
