Greater Anglia Invests in Community Rail Partnerships
Train operator Greater Anglia is investing £125,000 in the four Community Rail Partnerships (CRP) that exist along its routes. The East Suffolk Lines CRP (Lowestoft and FelixStowe to Ipswich), Bittern Line CRP, Wherry Lines CRP, and the Essex and South Suffolk CRP will benefit from an immediate £50,000 in support. The CRPs work to develop new services, promote existing services, and supports the station adoption programme.
Ruud Haket, Managing Director, Greater Anglia said: “This new investment for Community Rail Partnerships is a tremendous vote of confidence by Greater Anglia in the community rail network across the region we serve. We are keen to work with our local partners to continue to increase demand for rail travel in these areas and to play our part in boosting the local economy.”
