Industrial Action Monday 7/8 – Saturday 12/8

From Monday 7 August to Saturday 12 August, action short of a strike called by the ASLEF trade union will result in some cancellations on the East Suffolk Lines and most other Greater Anglia routes. Passengers are advised to check before travelling.

Passenger Assistance

On all days affected by industrial action, passenger assistance arrangements will be available as usual. Anyone requiring assistance should plan their journey and book assistance in advance if possible.

Other train operators across the UK are also affected by industrial action and passenger are advised to check all journey details before travelling.

Jamie Burles, Greater Anglia managing director, said:

“While the vast majority of services will be running as normal during the period affected by action short of a strike, there will be some cancellations across our network.

“We are sorry for any inconvenience caused by these service alterations and advise customers to plan ahead and check before they travel.

“The rail industry is working hard to resolve the current disputes and reach an agreement.”
