New East Suffolk Lines Activity Booklet

The East Suffolk Lines Community Rail Partnership has published a new guide which encourages families to explore the area by train.
The booklet highlights attractions that can be discovered from stations along the Ipswich – Lowestoft / Ipswich – Felixstowe rail routes. It has been produced in a beautiful hand-drawn and fun format to appeal to families with children and includes mini-challenges and activities to help keep children entertained, as well as suggesting things to do along the line.
The A5 sized guide is free and is available from Customer Services at Ipswich station and includes a pack of crayons.
It was launched during Community Rail Week 19/5 to 25/5, a national celebration highlighting how community rail projects can empower communities.
Thalia Woodgate, East Suffolk Lines Community Rail Partnership Officer, said:
“There is so much to see and do along the lines, whether you’re ready for a great time exploring the countryside or coast, discovering market towns and charming villages, or planning a fun family day out.”
Alan Neville, Greater Anglia’s Customer and Community Engagement Manager, said:
“With this great new guide and Greater Anglia’s great value fares, families, and day trippers could leave the car at home and have fun exploring this line and the fascinating towns, villages and attractions that are within easy reach.”
