New Shelter At Halesworth Station
Passengers at Halesworth station can now make use of a brand new waiting shelter. The recently installed shelter is situated along the platform opposite the station building . It provides not only a waiting area for rail passengers, but also for people making connections to the 521 bus service as the bus stop is next to the new shelter.
Clive Morris, Rural business director for ‘one’ railway says “This scheme shows our continuing commitment to delivering improvements for our customers. A joint investment approach with our partners, including Suffolk County Council and the East Suffolk Line Community Rail Partnership, can help to deliver both customer and service improvements for stations and customers along the East Suffolk Line.”
The £7500 shelter was jointly funded by rail operator ‘one’, the East Suffolk Line Community Rail Partnership, and Suffolk County Council.
