Revised Timetables from Monday 23 March

As a result of the Coronavirus outbreak Greater Anglia will run a revised timetable beginning Monday 23 March.

The number of passengers has reduced since the Government issued guidance on unnecessary travel and social distancing. In response train operators have developed a plan to reduce overall capacity while at the same time running services to allow people who still need to travel to get to their destinations.

The timetable on the East Suffolk Lines (Ipswich – Lowestoft and Ipswich – Felixstowe) remains unaffected; regional services from Ipswich to Cambridge and Norwich to Sheringham/Great Yarmouth/Lowestoft will continue to run to the regular timetable as will the Ipswich – Peterborough service.

Reduced Services

Norwich – London Liverpool Intercity service is reduced to hourly as are Ipswich – London Liverpool Street stopping/commuter services and Stansted Express. Norwich – Stansted services will start/terminate at Cambridge.

There are many other routes where a reduced service will run affecting services south of Ipswich and on the West Anglia mainline. Greater Anglia has published a full list of the changes. Mobile phone apps and online timetables will be updated to reflect the changes
