Saxmundham Station Car Park Expansion Works Progressing

Work to reconfigure and expand the car park at Saxmundham rail station has rapidly progressed since Greater Anglia broke ground on the project in early February.

Pictures taken on 6 July 2020 show the extent of the work which includes re-contouring the area alongside the old bay platform, the installation of curbing and LED lighting. An additional entrance from the car park to the platform has also been created. The scheme also includes additional CCTV.

Once complete the car park capacity will expand from 18 to 51 spaces with additional room for motorcycles.
