Views Wanted on December 2004 Timetable Change

The Rail Passengers Committee Eastern England (RPC) is launching a campaign to gather ‘one’ Railway passengers views following the December 2004 timetable change.

A series of station and on-train events are being run throughout February, beginning with a ‘meet the passengers’ day at Norwich Station on Tuesday, February 1. RPC members and staff will be on hand from 7am to 7pm to listen to passengers’ comments and hand out freepost questionnaires.

RPC Regional Director, Guy Dangerfield said: “We are asking passengers to complete a short questionnaire telling us about the affect of the changes: is the new timetable better, worse or about the same. We urge passengers to take a little time out of their day to contribute to our research.”

Passengers can also ring 08453 022 022 for a copy or complete the RPC’s questionnaire online at http://www.railpassengers.org.uk/one/

INDUSTRIAL ACTION is taking taking place in early May. Mon 6/5, and Wed 7/5 though Sat 11/5 most services will run but there will be some cancellations. On Tuesday 7/5 there will be a full strike; NO services on the East Suffolk Lines or the other local/regional routes will operate that day. Mainline services to/from London will be reduced.
