2008 Summer Line Guide Now Available

Line GuideThe latest line guide covering the East Suffolk Lines is now available. The line guide is for the period up to and inclusive of 13 December 2008. It lists the full Lowestoft to London through-service timetable, Felixstowe to Ipswich timetable, and connecting-service arrival and departure times for both Norwich and London Liverpool Street. Fares are listed in an easy-to-read table, with details on Anglia Plus, as well as Standard Day Return and Cheap Day Return tickets.

Inside The Line GuideThe 27 page guide highlights things to do and places to see along the Suffolk coast, profiles of market towns along the line, a map of connecting bus services, cycle information including locations for cycle hire, station-to-station walks, and much more.

Also inside you’ll find a free draw to win one of five pairs of Anglia Plus rail tickets. Closing date is 13 December 2008.

John Brodribb, Chairman of the East Suffolk Lines Community Rail Partnership, launched the new guide at both Ipswich and Lowestoft stations: “The new guide is packed with useful information for a great-value day out without the car. There is so much to see and do along the railway line and some lovely market towns and tourist attractions to explore, making the line the perfect choice for a great day out.”

The free line guide can is avaiilable at all staffed stations, libraries, and Tourist Information Centres.

INDUSTRIAL ACTION is taking taking place in early May. Mon 6/5, and Wed 7/5 though Sat 11/5 most services will run but there will be some cancellations. On Tuesday 7/5 there will be a full strike; NO services on the East Suffolk Lines or the other local/regional routes will operate that day. Mainline services to/from London will be reduced.
