Competition to Help Promote Rail Safety

Young people age 11 to 18 are invited to help make their peers aware of the dangers of trespassing on the railway with a competition sponsored by the Community Rail Education Network.

Entries can be be either a short film, storyboard, script or song made from home or at school.

The winning entries will receive one of six Go Pro Hero8 camera prize pack bundles. There will also be prizes announced throughout the competition. The deadline to enter is 30 September 2020.

Entries entry may be used in schools to promote railway safety so should be targeting to this age group. Entries from the fifteen stations along the East Suffolk Lines (Ipswich to Lowestoft and Felixstowe) may be used by the East Suffolk Lines Community Rail Partnership to help further promote rail safety in East Anglia.

Entrants are encouraged to share their entry on social media (if they are 13 or older) to help spread the word to as many young people as possible.

INDUSTRIAL ACTION is taking taking place in early May. Mon 6/5, and Wed 7/5 though Sat 11/5 most services will run but there will be some cancellations. On Tuesday 7/5 there will be a full strike; NO services on the East Suffolk Lines or the other local/regional routes will operate that day. Mainline services to/from London will be reduced.
