Halesworth Station Receives Top Award

Halesworth Station

Halesworth Station on the East Suffolk Line along with Acle Station in Norfolk have been named best unstaffed stations in East Anglia. Halesworth and Acle beat out 54 other stations vying for the title. The awards were handed out by ‘one’ Railway as part of the station adoption scheme. The scheme allows volunteers to help in the upkeep of their local station.



Halesworth Best Unstaffed Station Award

This is the second consecutive time Halesworth has been named Best Unstaffed medium-sized Station. Acle won top honours for small-sized station. Judging was done independently by the Rail Passengers Committee and Sustainable Transport for the East of England Region.



From 27 January 2022, there is no longer a legal requirement to wear a face covering on public transport. The government suggests that you continue to wear a face covering in crowded and enclosed spaces where you may come into contact with other people you do not normally meet.

A revised timetable with temporary reductions to some Greater Anglia rail services is in effect.
