There are several changes to the East Suffolk Lines timetables during this holiday season.
Christmas Day and Boxing Day
There will be no services on either Christmas Day (Wednesday 25/12) or Boxing Day (Thursday 26/12). In the run up to the holiday services will shutdown early on Christmas Eve (Tuesday 24/12).
Work on the new track which will provide a continuous route from the East Suffolk Line and Felixstowe Line to the Great Eastern Mainline, known as the Ipswich Chord, is well underway. In order to install new points to connect the new chord to the East Suffolk Line at the River Gipping buses will replace trains on several days during Christmas week between Woodbridge and Ipswich.
The ongoing work will also see train services on select days on the entire Felixstowe Line replaced by a bus service. The replacement bus will not stop at Westerfield Station. If you travel from Westerfield you are advised to contact Greater Anglia using the help point at the station; staff will assist you with onward travel arrangements.
