New Ticket Machines

Saxmundham station ticket machine Buying your rail ticket is now even easier at three more East Suffolk rail stations. Automatic ticket vending machines (TVMs) have now been installed at Beccles, Saxmundham and Woodbridge stations. The new machines allow you to buy tickets at the station prior to getting on the train, or buy in advance online at the Greater Anglia website for later collection at the machine.

In addition to offering a full range of tickets the brand new TVMs display relevant information about different ticket types, such as any restrictions that may apply on travel times when buying off-peak tickets.

The new TVM at Woodbridge fills a void created when the Woodbridge Tourist Information Centre, which sold rail tickets at its location inside the station, moved to the library.

The new machines only accept credit and debit cards; for those with cash or anyone not wanting to use the TVM you’ll still be able to buy tickets from the conductor on the train at both these stations.

TVMs are already located at Lowestoft and Ipswich stations.

The £36,000 scheme was funded in part by train operator Greater Anglia and Suffolk County Council.
