More Spaces at Station Car Parks

Passengers who use Wickham Market and Melton Station will benefit from a vast increase in parking spaces.

At Wickham Market station in Campsea Ashe a new car park extension has been built on the north side of the station forecourt. The extended car park means the station can accomodate 30 vehicles. The existing car park has been reconfigured to allow for the installation of several bicycle and motorbike stalls.

At Melton land adjacent to the station is been converted into a new car park for 25 vehicles. The old car park had only 4 spaces.

Parking at both stations is free. The projects were funded in part through a Government grant scheme.

INDUSTRIAL ACTION is taking taking place in early May. Mon 6/5, and Wed 7/5 though Sat 11/5 most services will run but there will be some cancellations. On Tuesday 7/5 there will be a full strike; NO services on the East Suffolk Lines or the other local/regional routes will operate that day. Mainline services to/from London will be reduced.
